Prediqt, s.r.o. with its DataCity platform, which is a city’s data-based online information platform that, among other functionalities, allows the city administration to set measurable goals through city performance indicators in selected areas, has been awarded the “Innovation in Services (non-technological process)” award.
What is DataCity?
DataCity is a platform, which enables city management to:
Set the goals they want to achieve and communicate their fulfillment to citizens in a transparent way
Benchmark their performance in comparison to other cities in their size, locally and also internationally
Connect and share best practices with the management of other cities
Collect feedback and interact with local citizens
Common issues of city management
Missing or scattered data about actual city performance
Targets are set politically and are difficult to measure against
The usual smart city solutions and hardware are very expensive
Gauging public opinion on performance priorities is costly and takes time
No common reliable way of comparing performance among different cities
A dashboard which aggregates performance in up to 180 KPIs
Public KPIs allow citywide progress tracking
Crowdsourcing gets the needed data for free
Instant polls, citizens vote through smartphones
All cities using DataCity have the same indicators
The city’s progressive management embraces open data concept and is converting their entire management into spreadsheets. So far they have lacked a way to share the performance with the public in an easy manner; DataCity has provided one.
In Gaziantep we are deploying a complete solution covering key parts of the city performance, notably regarding the issues related to the city’s management of increased population due to the conflict in nearby Syria.
